i'm australian so never knew (of) tony hart. but on reading various obituaries this last weekend, i felt an eye-pricking sadness for someone i wish i had. a wonderful man.

Well thank you - it's always good to know that people are reading the thing, and it's lovely to think that I've introduced a stranger to Tony's work, and the esteem he was held in by his fans.

I never heard of Tony Heart either but your post title caught my eye. I thought this guy must have been really talented to make one say that his youth has died with Tony.
